Base Camp to Camp 1 is the first real test in K2 Climbing Simulation. The route teaches traction, pacing, visibility, and basic checkpoint discipline without forcing full Death Zone oxygen planning.
Before leaving Base Camp
Check your movement gear and keep your loadout simple. A beginner should not leave with a cluttered backpack, because extra items make decisions slower when weather changes.
- Bring traction gear if available.
- Do not spend all cash on summit gear yet.
- Keep your camera focused on the rope and slope direction.
How to climb to Camp 1 safely
Move in short, controlled sections. If visibility drops, stop pushing forward and look for a stable place to wait. Camp 1 is not far enough to justify gambling an entire run in bad weather.
What to do when you reach Camp 1
Treat Camp 1 as a reset point. Rest, check your inventory, and decide whether you are geared enough for Camp 2. Many failed runs happen because players rush through Camp 1 without stabilizing.
